Suicide loss can bring survivors guilt, shame, confusion mostly due to the stigma surrounding suicide. Survivors may feel abandoned by friends and family and feel they have no one to talk to about their grief or anyone who would even understand a survivors grief. Suicide can shatter the survivors (family, friend, co-workers, etc) lives. They need a place where they can go where there is no judgement, people going through the same type of loss and where they feel they can talk openly. Here survivors can then feel less alone, reassurance that healing is possible from survivors who further out on their grief journey.
